Advanced Design System 2008 Update 2 is a professional electronic design automation suite for RF, microwave, and high‑speed digital circuits. The toolset includes mature circuit simulators—S‑parameter, AC/DC, transient, harmonic balance, and envelope—plus interactive tuning, optimization, sensitivity, and yield analysis. For electromagnetic effects, it provides integrated planar EM simulation (Momentum) and interoperability with 3D EM solutions to model packages, bondwires, and complex interconnects. Designers can use foundry PDKs, DesignGuide templates, and extensive model libraries; import/export industry formats like Touchstone; and visualize results with Data Display, including Smith charts, constellation plots, and eye diagrams.
